Programme Development

Once programme resolved, began a stage of fitting the programme into the existing architectural frame. The illustration below describes what facilities The Youth Cultural and Entertainment Centre offers and where they are located.

The programme is divided into a serial of functional spaces which will operate according to their schemes accommodating a mixture of young people with different interest and backgrounds. Some of the facilities will be dedicated for use by the particular age groups, others will have a scheduled access. My users are: the young population of Northampton, university students and young professionals. Separating the age groups will allow a safe and comfortable building use for all 24/7.

I am also proposing to set a private members club policy for the effective facilities management. Being a member will also allow young users to develop a sense of ownership and responsibility for their place.
